XGody V11 Tablet Review- A Tablet To Stay Away From

There are many tablets out there but not all of them are good. The XGody V11 is a basic tablet that is not very good quality and has many software related issues as well. In this XGody V11 Tablet Review I will be talking about the XGody V11 and telling you how it works so you can decide if it is the right tablet for you.

What Is The XGody V11?XGody V11 Tablet

The XGody V11 is a basic android tablet that was created by the technology company XGody. It is a basic Android tablet that is very basic and poor quality. It is capable of basic tasks like browsing the web, watching low quality videos and running some basic and lightweight apps.

But even these tasks can lead to issues with the tablet resulting in a bad user experience. The XGoday V11 is outdated and has very low end hardware meaning it is not capable of much and it is not worth buying even if you are just looking for something basic because there are better options out there with less issues.

Battery Life & Multimedia

The XGody V11 has pretty bad battery life no matter what tasks you are doing on the tablet. Even doing things like search Google and using basic websites drains the battery within a couple of hours or so. If you do anything like listening to music or watching videos it will drain the battery even faster and you will be better off using the tablet with the charger plugged in.

The battery life on the XGody V11 is worse than I expected and gets worse as the tablet ages so if you want good battery life you are not going to get it with this tablet. The tablet also has a few multimedia options like a camera and a built in media player for listening to music and watching videos.

These are very basic though because the camera quality is very bad and the media player can only play a couple of music and video formats in low quality. There is also the ability to watch YouTube videos through the built in YouTube app which is now outdated and doesn’t work anymore.

This means you will have to watch YouTube videos through the web browser which does work but you can only watch the videos in low quality. As you can see multimedia is not that good on the XGoday V11 because it is very basic and has very limited functionality.

If you are looking for a great tablet you should consider the Lenovo M10 3rd Generation or the Acer Iconia W700 depending on what type of tablet you are looking for. If you would like to know more about these tablets I have a full review of both of them on this website.

Internet & ConnectivityXGody V11 Tablet With Case

The XGody V11 tablet can connect to the internet using WiFi and it has a built in web browser which is outdated and quite basic. It still works and some websites can still be used including search engines. But it is slow and many images and videos won’t load.

If you try to use any demanding websites it most likely won’t work due to the outdated web browser and low end hardware on the device. As for connectivity the XGody V11 has Bluetooth which is a bit slow but works fine for transferring files between devices.

It also has a headphone jack and Micro USB port that allows you to use an OTG cable with the device giving you the ability to view and transfer files with USB devices. This feature works quite well on the tablet even though it is outdated and quite basic so this is a good thing about this device.

The XGody V11 tablet can also be used with a Micro USB keyboard which does work but it is not very comfortable to use. The tablet has some basic but decent connectivity options but lacks updates and many other functionalities that make the tablet not worth getting.

Apps & Gaming

The XGody V11 has an app store which is the Google Play store and it used to work fine but now it is outdated and doesn’t work anymore.

This means you can’t download or install any applications through it and the only way to install applications on the tablet is through a Micro SD card or USB device or you can use the web browser to download them from websites that have the Apk files for the apps you want.

But many of the websites are unsafe so you have to be careful and I don’t recommend doing this unless you know what you are doing. A lot of apps and games won’t work on the XGody V11 due to it being outdated and also due to it’s hardware limitations.

Basic apps and low end games will work but sometimes there are issues with them to so you may not have a very good experience with apps and games on this tablet. If you want to use any demanding apps or any games that are even a little bit demanding on graphics or other resources it won’t be possible on this device and you will need to get a different tablet to be able to use them.

My Experience With The XGody V11 Tablet

I got my XGoday V11 tablet a few years ago back in around 2015 and at the time it wasn’t too bad. When the device was brand new it worked reasonably well but I still had many issues like the ones I have described so far in this XGody V11 tablet review due to the hardware limitations of the device.

But I was able to do things like download and install basic apps and games, watch YouTube videos through the YouTube app and the web browser in low quality and do other basic tasks without too many issues. The main issues I encountered was the tablet being slow and often crashing when I was using the web browser or other apps.

These issues got worse as the tablet got older and the battery life decreased at the same time. Once the tablet became outdated a couple of years later I didn’t use it much because it couldn’t support any updated firmware and there ongoing issues with the tablet like I described above that was making it annoying to use.

Do I Still Use The XGody V11 Tablet?

Now days I don’t use the tablet at all anymore because even though the tablet is not damaged and is still in good condition cosmetically it is practically unusable due to a wide range of issues with the device.

The first of these issues is the tablet sometimes has trouble starting up and when it does start up and load to the home screen it is very slow and constantly crashes.

I also can’t use a lot of apps and games on it including YouTube, the Google Play Store and many others including many websites through the web browser due to the firmware being outdated and not being able to support updated firmware.

The latest issue I have been having with the XGody V11 tablet is when I last started it up and got to the home screen is that no matter what I try to do on the tablet it crashes immediately and I cannot load anything which makes the device pretty much unusable.

I believe these issues were caused due to the age of the tablet and also because of how low end it is. It wasn’t a very good device to begin with even when it was brand new so I’m not surprised that this has happened.

As you can see my experience with the XGody V11 tablet has been pretty bad especially as the tablet aged and therefore I don’t recommend it to anyone and I can say with confidence that it is a tablet to stay away from.

Is The XGody V11 For Me?

I recommend that everyone stays away from the XGody V11 tablet unless you are a collector or you want to get one to investigate it for yourself. But even if that’s the case I recommend you only get one if you find it for free or at a very low price.

I don’t recommend the XGody V11 tablet to anyone due to it being outdated and all the issues it has and even if you are looking for a basic tablet you should still stay away from this device as there are better options out there for basic tablets.
