Basic phones are popular among the elderly and people with disabilities. The Telstra Lite is a decent basic phone but it might not be the right phone for you. In this Telstra Lite Review I will be talking about the Telstra Lite and how it works so you can decide if it is the right phone for you or not.
What Is The Telstra Lite?
The Telstra Lite is a basic phone that has basic features like calls, texts and an organizer. It is made mainly for elderly people and anyone who only needs a phone for basic tasks and light usage. The phone has no advanced features or WiFi but it has email and a web browser meaning you can browse the web with mobile data but you can’t do anything else web related on the phone.
The Telstra Lite is a 3G phone with no support for 4G, 4GX or 5G meaning you won’t be able to use it in countries that switch of 3G in the future. The phone is cheap and not very good quality as it can withstand being a dropped from a couple of feet but it is not a very durable phone in any other way.

Basic Tasks On The Telstra Lite
Basic tasks on the Telstra can be done without too much trouble. Phone calls are easy and call quality is good but tasks like sending text messages are slow and tedious due to the small keypad and the way it is designed. You can’t do much on the phone due to it’s lack of web related features and other features found on most phones.
Here is a list of the features included on the Telstra Lite
- Calls
- SMS
- Contacts
- Web Browser
- Camera
- Media Player
- FM Radio
- Image Gallery
- Voice Recorder
- File Browser
- Bluetooth
- Calendar
- Alarm
- World Clock
- Notes
- Calculator
- Tasks
- Converter
- Torch
- Stopwatch
- Settings
As you can see the phone is quite basic and limited in what you can do on it but it is still ok for elderly people and people who don’t need much from a phone. It’s not a phone I recommend for people who need a phone to do web related tasks as you can only use email and a web browser but not other web related features as they are not included with this phone.
If you are interested in getting a basic phone but need more features than what’s on the Telstra Lite you should consider the Telstra Lite 2 and the Telstra Lite 3 because they are better quality, support 4G and 4GX and have a lot more features on them.
If you would like to know more about the Telstra Lite 2 and the Telstra Lite 3 I have full reviews on both of these phone on this website.

Battery Life & Multimedia
Battery life on the Telstra Lite is quite good and will last a full day on one charge with some charge left over depending on how much you use the phone and what tasks you are doing. It takes around 5 hours to charge fully from low battery which is a bit long but the battery life is quite good as I said which is a good thing.
There is a camera and basic multimedia features on the Telstra Lite. The camera is low quality and the pictures it takes are alright but are nothing that good. It’s not a phone I recommend if you want to take a lot of photos and videos because you will want a phone with a much better camera.
The phone also has an image gallery that allows you to view the photos you take and a media player that allows you to play music and videos that you put on the phone. The Telstra Lite has 43MB internal storage and no Micro SD card slot meaning you are stuck with a small amount of internal storage and cannot expand it in any way.
Price Of The Telstra Lite
The Telstra Lite is a cheap phone and is cheap to buy. I got mine from a post office for $29 which was on sale at the time. It normally costs from $30 to $40 or slightly more depending on if it is on sale and where you buy the phone. The Telstra Lite is also known as the Telstra F327S and the ZTE F327S. It is available in some post offices and electrical stores as well as online on websites like eBay, Amazon and Kogan.

Customer Feedback About The Telstra Lite
There are many people that have used the Telstra Lite but there is a lot of mixed feedback about it. My experience with the Telstra Lite has been good but I have gathered some feedback from around the web to show you some examples of other real user experiences with the phone.
There are positive experiences like this
And negative experiences like this
As you can see the Telstra Lite has mixed feedback but as I said my experience with the Telstra Lite has been good. It’s not a good quality phone but it works fine for basic tasks like calls, texts and web browsing. It has good battery life and will last the full day. Despite it’s drawbacks it’s not a bad phone and can be the right option for some people.
Is The Telstra Lite For Me?
I recommend the Telstra Lite to anyone who needs basic phone that doesn’t need much from a phone. It’s good for people who want a phone mainly to make phone calls and send text messages. I also recommend the Telstra Lite to elderly people and anyone who wants basic phone instead of a smartphone.
I don’t recommend the Telstra Lite to anyone who wants a basic phone that is better quality and has good features. It;s not a good option for anyone who wants to do a lot of web related tasks other than email and web browsing as this is not possible on this phone. I also don’t recommend the Telstra Lite to anyone who wants to take a lot of photo and videos because the phone doesn’t have a good camera.
