The Opel Flip Phone Plus is a flip phone designed for seniors and people that are not tech savvy. It’s a basic flip phone that allows you to do basic tasks like calls, texts and MMS. The phone is quite basic with no email, internet browser or ability to download apps which is not very common now days as most phones have these features.
The Opel Flip Phone Plus has a 2.8 inch display and a good size keypad making it easy to see and use for seniors and anyone who uses the phone. The phone comes with a charging cradle that makes it easy for seniors to charge the phone but it can also be charged using the Micro USB cable without the charging cradle.
The phone also has a magnifier, loudspeaker, talking keypad, big buttons, an emergency SOS feature and a flashlight that are useful features for seniors that use the phone. It’s a decent phone but it won’t suit everyone due to it’s lack of web related features but it is more than enough for those with low phone needs.
The phone is a 3G phone with no support for 4G, 4GX or 5G meaning you won’t be able to use the phone in countries that switch off 3G in the future as there is no support for 4G or 4GX on the phone. If that happens you will have to get a different phone because you won’t be able to use this one. Despite this the Opel Flip Phone Plus has all the features seniors need and is also good as a backup phone or an emergency phone.

Daily Tasks On The Opel Flip Phone Plus
Daily tasks on the Opel Flip Phone Plus can be done quite easily. Calls are easy to make and call quality is good but the phone lacks enough battery to give you a long talk time. You can get around 2 hours or so of talk time before the battery gets low which is alright but could be much better.
Sending text messages on the phone is a bit slow due it being a flip phone and sending text messages on a flip phones takes time and is a bit tedious. Other tasks like taking photos and videos, using the clock features and using other features on the phone like the calculator and calendar are all quite quick and easy to do.
All of this means daily tasks are quite easy to do on the Opel Flip Phone plus with the only drawbacks being the lack of talk time due to the battery depleting quickly when on a phone call and the lack of web related features which makes web browsing and other web related tasks not possible on the phone.
Battery Life & Multimedia 
The battery life on the Opel Flip Phone Plus is not that good. As I said earlier when on phone calls you get about 2 or so hours of talk time before the battery gets low and with other tasks the battery life is similar. No matter what you are doing on the phone you will be lucky if you get more than 2 or 3 hours of battery life out of it.
Even on standby the battery depletes quite quickly and you will have to charge it at the end of the day regardless of whether or not you use the phone. As for multimedia the Opel Flip Phone Plus has a 0.3 megapixel camera that takes low quality photos therefore I do not recommend you take photos with this phone and if you want a phone for taking a lot of photos and videos you should choose a different phone.
Aside from the camera the phone has an image viewer for viewing the photos you take and an audio player for playing music and voice recordings you have on the phone. There is nothing else related to multimedia on the phone making it quite basic when it comes to multimedia.
There is also an FM radio on the phone that works using the loudspeaker meaning you don’t need earphone to listen to which is good because there is no headphone jack on the phone. The Opel Flip Phone Plus has 5oMB internal storage that is expandable up to 16GB using a Micro SD card.
Internet & Connectivity Features
As I said earlier there is no web related features on the Opel Flip Phone Plus. The phone does have Bluetooth for transferring files between other Bluetooth devices which works fine. But there is no email, web browser or any web related features on the phone.
For some reason there is the option to turn mobile data on and off in the settings but I don’t why this is even an option when there is no web browser or web related features on the phone. I find this strange as there is usually at least a web browser on most phone these days even if there are no other web related features on them.
But the Opel Flip Phone Plus does not have any these features meaning it is a basic flip phone with no other connectivity features other than Bluetooth which is a problem for some people. Some people like to be able to check email or browse the web on their flip phone and that’s why not having these features can be a problem.
If you don’t use your phone much and don’t need an internet browser or other web related features then it’s ok to choose this phone but if you do need web related features you should choose a different phone as web related tasks are not possible on this phone.

The Opel Flip Phone Plus costs $99 at regular retail price but can sometimes be found cheap if it is on sale or if you buy online. The phone is now a discontinued model meaning it is harder to find these days especially in stores. Is The Opel Flip Phone Plus For Me?
I recommend the Opel Flip Phone Plus to seniors and anyone that is not tech savvy and is looking for a basic flip phone for basic tasks like calls, texts and MMS. I also recommend it to anyone who doesn’t need a phone with a web browser and other web related features on it and also anyone who is looking for a decent backup phone or emergency phone.
I don’t recommend the Opel Flip Phone Plus to anyone who is looking for a flip phone with a web browser and other web related features on it because this phone doesn’t have these features therefore web related tasks are not possible on the phone. I also don’t recommend it to anyone who is looking for a flip phone with more features on it then the Opel Flip Phone Plus has on it.
