The Nokia G60 is a decently powerful smartphone that was released by Nokia in September 2022. While considered a budget phone by some it is actually a mid range smartphone in my opinion due to it’s hardware and price. But is still worth buying one? Well that depends on what you are looking for in a smartphone. In this Nokia G60 5G Review I will be talking about the Nokia G60 5G and how it works so you can decide if it is the right option for you or not.
What Is The Nokia G60 5G?
The Nokia G60 5G is a mid range smartphone that was released in September 2022 by Nokia and is quite a good phone. It has a nice design and is quite comfortable to use and hold. The phone is a good upgrade from of Nokia’s previous smartphones such as the Nokia G50 and the Nokia X20.
That being said there are still some flaws of the Nokia G60 that you will need to be aware of it you are going to buy one. I will discuss these flaws later in this Nokia G60 5G review.

Daily Tasks On The Nokia G60 5G
The Noka G60 5G has a 6.58 inch lPS LCD display with 1080p resolution that is clear and easy to see. The display looks quite nice and is more than enough for the average phone user. The phone performs quite well and is reasonably fast and responsive but some software on the phone is slow and buggy.
For the most part software issues don’t occur too often on the phone and many apps can be run without issues. The phone is powered by a Octa core Kyro 660 processor and a Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 6G chipset.
This hardware isn’t bad but the performance issues the phone has are caused by the RAM. This is because it has a low amount of RAM and in my opinion should have been built with more RAM for the type of smartphone it is.
The Nokia G60 5G has 3G, 4G, 4GX and 5G connectivity giving you access to the fastest network speeds available. Daily tasks are fairly easy on the phone and can be done quite quickly.
If you don’t use too many apps at once or try to run anything really demanding you should be fine. There is also a design flaw with the phone that you need to be aware of because it can effect your daily usuage of the phone.
The Nokia G60 5G is quite a durable phone but is quite slippery meaning it can be easily dropped and is a bit tricky to hold. The volume buttons and fingerprint scanner also stick out a bit and are very easily pressed.
This means they can easily be bumped in your pocket and while picking up, putting down or holding the phone. These issues can be annoying but luckily are easily solved by getting a decent case for your Nokia G60 5G but it is still something you need to be aware of if you buy this phone.
Aside from the design issues and sometimes slow and buggy software daily tasks are usually quite easy and you shouldn’t have any problems using the phone each day.
Battery Life & Multimedia
Battery life on the Nokia G60 5G is decent and can last up to 2 days on a singe charge depending on how you use the phone. With moderate usage you should get 2 days out of it. But even with heavy usage you will have some battery life remaining at the end of the day.
Charging time is around 2 hours or so from a low or dead battery which isn’t too bad but it could better. It support fast charging which will speed up the charging time but other simillar smartphones charge faster than the Nokia G60 5G.
As for multimedia the options are quite good on the Nokia G60 5G. It has a 50 megapixel rear camera with a 5 megapixel ultra wide lense and a 2 megapixel depth lense. It also has an 8 megapxiel front facing camera as well. The rear camera takes some good photos and is capable of taking 1080p videos up to 60fps.
It is not as good as some of it’s competitors but it still more than enough to get by on. The front facing camera on the other hand isn’t that could and should be much better quality. It can take 1080p videos u[ tp 30fps but is not very good at doing so and the images are often blurry or not focussed correctly.
Both the rear and front facing cameras are not good in low light but for day time shots the rear camera does quite a good job. Aside from the cameras there are plenty of other multimedia options on the Nokia G60 5G. You can watch videos, edit photos and videos, work on drawings and run many different photography apps without much trouble.
The only downside is apps sometimes run a bit slow or crash randomly due to the low amount of RAM in the phone but other than that you can do most multimedia tasks you would normally do on a phone with too many issues.
The Nokia G60 5G has 4 GB or 6GB RAM depending on the variant you choose and 64GB or 128GB interna which depends on the storage option you choose. The internal storage can be expanded up to 512GB using a Micro SD card.

Internet & Connectivity
The Nokia G60 5G can connect to the internet via WiFi or mobile data and usually works quite well. Browsing the web is qucik and easy and most apps that use the internet work fine as well. You may experience slower speeds if you are trying to run to many tabs or internet related apps at once.
This is because of the low amount of RAM in the phone that I mentioned earlier in this Nokia G60 5G review but if you avoid doing too much at once you should be able to do what you need to do on the internet without any problems. As for connectivity the Nokia G60 5G has quite a few connectivity features starting with WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and FM radio.
It also has a loudspeaker, headphone jack, GPS, gyro, accelerometer, proximity, compass and a fingerprint sensor. The phone uses USB C 2.0 and has support OTG as well. The Nokia G60 5G also has support for fast charging but lacks support for wireless charging which is a drawback of the phone. But with all these connectivity features you will have most things you need and want to use on your phone.
Apps & Gaming
Apps on the Nokia G60 5G are not too bad of an experience. It can run basic apps with no issues and most apps open reasonably fast but it can’t run any demanding apps very well due to the low amount of RAM in the phone. But any basic apps or other apps that aren’t too demanding will work fine without that many problems.
As for gaming the Nokia G60 5G is not the best choice for playing games. While it can run basic games without any problems it can’t run demanding games that well. Some very demanding games won’t run at all without freezing or crashing and all of these issues are again due to the low amount of RAM in the phone.
So this means you probably won’t be able to play all the games you want or play the latest mobiles games very easily. This means that if you want to play a lot of games on your phone the Nokia G60 5G is not a good choice and I recommend you choose a different smartphone.
Is The Nokia G60 5G For Me?
I recommend the Nokia G60 5G to anyone looking for a good mid range smartphone that will last the full day on a single charge. If you are ok with the RAM, camera quality and not being able to run demanding games this phone is a good choice for you.
I don’t recommend the Nokia G60 5G to anyone that wants a mid range smartphone with great cameras, more RAM and the ability to play demanding games. If that’s the case the phone is not for you and you will be better off looking at other options.

In conclusion the Nokia G60 5G is a decent mid range smartphone that was released by Nokia in 2022. It has a large display, decent performance, good hardware and many connectivity features. The phone has a good rear camera but a poor quality front facing camera but none of the cameras are too good in low light. The Nokia G60 5G has great battery but charging time is a bit slow comapred to other simillar smartphones.
The phone is not good for running demanding apps and games due to it’s low amount of RAM and a flaw in the design makes the fingerprint scanner and volume buttons too easily pressed. This can be solved by getting a decent case for the phone but should have been addressed before being released to the public.
I recommend the Nokia G60 5G to anyone looking for a good mid range smartphone for moderate usage that will last a full day on a single charge. I don’t recommend the Nokia G60 5G to anyone that wants a phone with more RAM, better cameras or to use a lot of demanding apps and games. If that’s the case you are better off looking at other options.
The Nokia G60 5G is a decent mid range smartphones and if decide it suits your needs and are alright with it’s drawbacks it can be worth buying.
