There are some many phones out there these days from dumbphones to smartphones it can be hard to know what phone to buy and which one you really need. A phone is a portable digital handheld device that connects to a network and is used for communication and other purposes. Phones allow users to make and receive calls and text messages and mobile phone can do much more than that like web browsing, playing games, watching videos and much more.

There is not much to them but they can useful for seniors or anyone that doesn’t want a complicated phone.

A flip phone is also known as a clamshell phone and is a phone that has hinges and a keypad that is separate from the display. Flip phones have a clamshell like design and open and close easily with a simple flip which is why they are called flip phones.
Flip phones are quite basic with no powerful hardware but can do basic things like calls, texts and storing contacts easily. Most flip phones have a basic camera and can also access the internet but have limited internet capabilities.
They also usually have a few basic tools on them like a calculator, calendar, alarm and world clock. Flip phones are good for elderly people or anyone that wants phone that is basic and easy to use without having to worry about anything complicated.
Feature Phones
A feature phone is a type of mobile phone with a physical keypad and non touch screen. They look a lot like basics phones and quite similar in some ways.
Feature phones can do all the things a basic phone can do like calls, texts and basic web browsing but can also do somethings that basics phones can’t do like playing games, downloading apps and access to more tools on the phone.
Feature phones can do more things than basic phones but are not as extensive as smartphones therefore they are usually seen as the step between basic phones and smartphones. Features are a good choice for people that need or want more features than a basic phone has but don’t want or need a smartphone.
Smart Flip Phones
Smart flip phones are also known as smart flips and look like regular flip phones but have a lot more features and a touchscreen.
Smart flip phones cost a bit more than regular flip phones but have some really good features that are usually only found on smartphones such as maps, a music player, more apps and sometimes even an app store or other advanced features.
Smart flip phones can also do all the things that regular flip phones can do and are a great upgrade if you still want a flip phone but with more advanced features. Smart flip phones are a good choice for elderly people and anyone look for an advanced flip phone but a phone that is still easy to use.

Should You Buy A Dumbphone Or A Smartphone?
If you are trying to decide between a dumbphone and a smartphone it all comes down to what your needs are and what type of phone you think would be best for you. There are a few things to consider such as what you need the phone for and how much you want to spend on a phone.
