Asus N10J Review- Is It Worth Buying?

Asus N10J Review- Is It Worth Buying?

Asus has many great laptops in all shapes and sizes that are perfect for all your computing needs at home and on the go. The Asus N10J is small but great laptop that is quite powerful and will get all your tasks done quite easily. In this Asus N10J Review I will be talking about the Asus N10J and how it works so you can decide if it is the right laptop for you or not.

What Is The Asus N10J?Asus N10J

The Asus N10J is a small and nice looking laptop with some decent features and hardware that will get many tasks done. It has a 10.2 inch display, is quite fast and responsive and it boots up really fast. The laptop has good graphics that are quite powerful and the laptop works well most of the time.

Even though the laptop is decent and fast it is heavy for it’s size and may come with an operating system you don’t want to use. But it can be upgraded if you upgrade the hardware to support the operating system that you want to install on the laptop. That being said the Asus N10J is a decent laptop but you need to be are that is an older laptop that may not be suitable as a daily laptop anymore.

Daily Tasks On The Asus N10J

Daily tasks on the Asus N10J are relatively quick and easy to do and most things can be done without too many issues. If you are doing office work or browsing the web you will be able to do this with ease and if you want to watch YouTube videos they can be played without too many issues as well.

But some tasks can be a bit slow to do like watching high quality videos or doing a lot of video editing and depending on what you want to do you might have to get a better laptop. You can also play games on the Asus N10J quite easily as long as they are older games that are compatible with the laptop.

No matter the daily tasks you are trying to do on the Asus N10J it can be done without too much hassle meaning you just have to make sure you don’t try to do anything that is too demanding on the graphics or hardware of the laptop.

Battery Life & MultimediaAsus N10J In Windows Explorer

Battery life on the Asus N10J is not that good and you should expect around 4 to 6 hours of battery life on one charge depending on what you are doing. If you are doing basic tasks like web browsing, office work or running basic software you might get slightly longer out of it but you shouldn’t expect anything great.

But if you are watching a lot of videos and playing a lot of games the battery will drain a lot quicker and is not very impressive. The battery life could definitely be a lot better on the laptop because even with low usage it doesn’t last a full day without you needing to charge the battery again so it doesn’t go flat.

As for multimedia there are some good options on the Asus N10J and you can do most multimedia tasks you would normally do on other laptops quite easily. You can also do basic multimedia tasks easily like editing images and basic video editing but if you are doing to be doing a lot of video editing I recommend you get a more powerful laptop.

Other multimedia tasks like listening to music and watching videos using Windows Media Player work fine as well meaning you have some decent options when it comes to multimedia but for anything advanced or demanding you will need to choose a different laptop.

If you decide that the Asus N10J is not for you and are looking for something better you should consider the Acer Aspire ES 15 and The Lenovo Ideapad 15ISk which are both bigger and better laptops. If you would like to know more about them I have a full review of both of these laptops on this website.

Internet & Connectivity

The Asus N10J can connect to the internet via WiFi or Ethernet and it works quite well. The web browser is internet explorer by default but you can install other web browsers so you can have a useable web browser. All online tasks you do on the Asus N10J work fine as long as you are not doing anything advanced or demanding.

As for connectivity there is Bluetooth for transferring files between other Bluetooth devices which works fine. It also has quite few ports starting with a headphone jack and microphone jack which work great for all types of headphones and microphones that you want to use with the laptop..

Ports & Connections

Asus N10J Ports Right Side

Asus N10J Ports Left Side

Aside from the headphone jack and the microphone jack there are a few other ports on each side of the laptop. There is an ethernet port, VGA port, HDMI port, 3 USB ports, expansion card slot and an SD card slot meaning there are some great options for connectivity on the laptop. The Asus N10J has 2GB RAM and 320GB HDD storage which is decent for an older laptop.

Is The Asus N10J For Me?

I recommend the Asus N10J to anyone who is looking for a decent secondary laptop with decent features. I also recommend the Asus N10J to anyone who is looking for an older laptop for light usage or learning purposes.

I don’t recommend the Asus N10J to anyone who is looking for a daily laptop for consistent usage due to it being an older laptop that is outdated. I also don’t recommend the Asus N10J to anyone that is looking for a high end laptop with advanced features as the Asus N10J is nothing high end or advanced.
