Daily Tasks On The HP ProBook 4530s
Daily tasks on the HP ProBook 4530s are quite easy to do and the laptop performs well. It makes quick work of basic tasks like web browsing and office work. You can also watch videos and it has some great security features as well so you can keep your laptop secure while you do your work.
But the laptop is not designed for gaming meaning that it can run some games but many games will not be compatible with the laptop. It can run some demanding games if you have it set to the minimal settings but there are lot of new games that won’t run at all on the laptop due to the hardware it has in it.
This is because the laptop was designed for work purposes and is not a gaming machine in any way shape or form. So if you are going to be playing a lot of games this is not the laptop for you. But aside from gaming everything else you would want to do each day is quite easy to do. The laptop is easy and fun to use and get your work done on meaning daily tasks are easy to do on the HP ProBook 4530s.
Battery Life & Multimedia
Battery life is average on the HP ProBook 4530s and lasts about 5 hours on one charge if you are doing basic tasks like web browsing or office work. But if you are watching videos or playing games it will drain a bit faster. The battery life could better on the laptop because it won’t last the full day on one charge.
As for multimedia there are quite a few options on the HP ProBook 4530s due to it’s decent graphics and solid performance. Basic multimedia tasks like listening to music and watching videos is easy both online and offline and even HD videos work fine without too many issues.
You can also do things like edit images, video editing, graphic design and other tasks like this quite easily and you will only have some issues like slow performance if you are working with a lot of high quality videos. If that’s the case you may need to get a laptop that has more RAM in it.
But other than that multimedia is quite good on the HP ProBook 4530s and you can do most multimedia related tasks on the laptop quite easily without any issues. This makes the laptop a decent choice for anything that is multimedia related. The HP ProBook 4530s has 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD storage and a webcam that allows you take good quality photos and videos.

Internet & Connectivity
The HP ProBook 4530s can connect to the internet via WiFi and it works really well. Browsing the web is quick and easy and works fine. The default web browser is internet explorer but other web browsers can be easily installed and then you will have a working web browser.
Watching videos online and doing other web related tasks are all quick and easy and work fine meaning you can do all internet related tasks without any issues. As for connectivity there is Bluetooth which works fine for transferring files between other Bluetooth devices. It can also be used to pair wireless devices such as Bluetooth headphones and speakers.
Ports & Connections
There are also many ports on the HP ProBook 4530s starting a headphone jack and a microphone jack. There is also 3 USB 2.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 port along with other ports including Ethernet, HDMI, VGA, a smart card adaptor and a Kensington lock slot. The laptop also has a 6 in 1 memory card reader and a DVD Super Multi drive.
The Operating System
The HP ProBook 4530s usually comes running Windows 7 by default but it is possible to upgrade the laptop to Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 quite easily. It is also possible to upgrade the laptop to Windows 10 which should run fine but may need some slight hardware upgrades to improve the graphics and performance.
So this means that if you want to use an older operating system then the HP ProBook 4530s will be fine for you. But if you want to use a new operating system without having to upgrade the software or hardware then this laptop might not be the best choice for you and you might be better off getting a different laptop.
Security & Software
The HP ProBook 4530s has some great security features starting with HP Protect Tools which is a great security suite that comes preinstalled on the laptop. The suite includes tools to quicky set up windows passwords and also protect and manage passwords for different websites.
It also gives you some good authentication options for logging in to windows including face recognition and fingerprint ID. Aside from the HP Protect Tools security suite there are also some other great security tools including drive encryption, Computrace and the ability to add a BIOS level password for extra security.
The HP ProBook 4530s also comes with some great software preinstalled on the laptop starting with ArcSoft Total Media Suite. This software allows you to create, copy and watch all types of audio and video files as well as burn them to discs. The laptop also includes the webcam companion app that allows to you take photos and videos in 720p using the webcam.
There is also HP Power Assistant which helps regulate and monitor power consumption and it can also scan and diagnose problems with the laptop while also helping you contact a HP support representative. Finally there is 3D DriveGuard which helps the laptop better withstand drops and bumps by parking the hardrive when sudden motion is detected. All of this software is great and is definitely worth having as it comes preinstalled on the laptop at no additional cost.
